Prague - Prague 3 plans to build a residence with care services on the site of the former nursery in K Lučinám street. The residential building for seniors is expected to cost 164 million crowns and should be completed in about three years. A study has been prepared so far. Ondřej Rut (ŽnS), the deputy mayor, told ČTK. The nursery has been on the site since the 1960s. At that time, it was part of the Jarov housing estate. Currently, both the building and the adjacent garden are unused. "After previously verifying the possibilities for utilizing the building, we decided on a residence with care services with a capacity of 80 apartments," Rut stated. A total of 44 studio apartments and 36 two-bedroom apartments are to be created. The ground floor will feature shops, a hairdresser, a restaurant, and a gallery. "It is a semi-closed block with a courtyard that will be accessible during the day and will serve the residents of the surrounding buildings," the project description on the municipal district website states. A small multifunctional building for exhibitions and concerts is proposed in the courtyard. A park will be created on the land east of the building.
