Choceň - The former boiler house building in Choceň could become a railway museum. The historical building will not have to give way to the construction of an overpass above the track to Týniště nad Orlicí. The exhibition is to be prepared by the Friends of Rolling Stock Club in Brno; the building is currently owned by Czech Railways, which does not need it. The Pardubice Region could participate in the purchase, said the governor Martin Netolický to ČTK.

"If the whole matter progresses to the sale phase, we, as the Pardubice Region, can be a partner. The company aiming to acquire this building has a total of 70 locomotives and carriages available,"
Netolický stated.

The boiler house has historical and technical significance; it was built in 1875. An initiative was submitted for its inclusion in the register of technical cultural monuments. According to Netolický, its location near the city center is an advantage.

The Friends of Rolling Stock Club in Brno is a civic association of railway enthusiasts who help preserve and maintain historical rolling stock, primarily motor vehicles but also steam traction, and present them to the public. The club operates a number of machines, including the motor car M 240 0113, trailer cars of series Blm and BDlm, steam industrial locomotive BS 200, and other interesting vehicles from series 850, 720, 721, 748.5, and 020. The collection is currently located in Brno at the Lower Station and consists of 40 locomotives and 30 carriages.
