Vyškov - Vyškov will reconstruct part of Masaryk Square during the years 2017 and 2018, an investment of approximately 20 million crowns will be required. The sidewalks will be repaved, furniture will be added, and a new water feature will be created at Husova Street, said the city spokesperson Dana Ryšánková to ČTK.
In the spring, the gas pipeline networks will be reconstructed in the square, and the repairs of the square will follow in such a way that it will not be dug up twice. The interventions will concern the outer parts of the square, that is, from the buildings to the roadway. "The reconstruction will be divided into two phases. In 2017, the gas workers should focus on Sušilova Street and the western part of the square up to Komerční banka, as well as the entire northern part of the square. In the following year, it will concern Jana Šoupala Street, Husova, the entire southern part of Masaryk Square up to the roundabout, and Zámecká Street," said the spokesperson. She added that everything will be clarified at the beginning of the year.
The city also wants other network owners, namely water supply and heating distribution as well as internet providers, to implement their plans in the square during the reconstruction. The procedure in each phase should be such that the gas workers start, followed by the network owners, and finally, the city will close the given part with its modifications.
"Project documentation is currently being processed, which will provide more insights," stated the spokesperson.
At the beginning of the year, the city management wants to meet with the operators of shops in the square and inform them about the details of the work. It is assumed that the shops will remain open and access to them will be ensured.
