Náchod - A modern educational center for construction professionals is being established at the Higher Vocational and Secondary School of Civil Engineering in Náchod. Construction work costing nearly 30 million crowns is expected to be completed next autumn, the spokesperson for the Hradec Králové Region, Imrich Dioszegi, informed CTK today. "The project includes a complete renovation of the former construction apprenticeship building, which was in poor technical condition and ineffectively designed. During the construction, we will temporarily move the teaching from the reconstructed building to the main building of our school,” said the director of the Náchod Secondary School of Civil Engineering, Miloš Chráska. In the renovated building, modern classrooms, laboratories, a large lecture hall, and an information center with a permanent exhibition of construction material samples, educational models, and professional literature will be created. In the Hradec Králové Region, construction fields can still be studied at the secondary school in Hradec Králové. A total of four vocational training centers are expected to be established in the Hradec Králové Region by 2012, with financial support from the European Union amounting to 125 million crowns. In the regional capital, two centers focusing on education in engineering and the automotive industry are being established, while a forestry center is to be created in Trutnov.
