Kladno - In the Kladno district of Kročehlavy, there will be two tall buildings. Their exact appearance will be determined by an architectural study that will also include their surroundings on city land. The investor is now commencing its preparation, after which it will be clarified, for example, how many floors the buildings will have and what the surroundings of the construction should look like, Kladno Mayor Milan Volf said today to ČTK.
"Now we are preparing the groundwork to get to the final version," Volf stated. The private company must also meet the conditions stated in the contract with the city, which includes the bridging of American Street, intended for pedestrians and cyclists. "The investor needs assurance that when paying for the architectural study, they can consider their area including the city's property," said architect and Kladno councilor Ondřej Rys.
The private company purchased the building land from the city in 2021 for approximately 30 million crowns. Their area exceeds 7000 m². Originally, there was to be one tall building, which next to the tower houses was supposed to become one of Kladno's landmarks. However, according to the mayor, it was necessary to change the layouts of the plots and the assignment needed to be adjusted.
The city will also receive additional millions from the company thanks to a contribution to infrastructure, which includes roads, sidewalks, sewage, and similar. The exact amount will only be clear after the project is completed, and the contribution is calculated from the floor area of the building.
