Bjarke Ingels is a Danish architect who strives to fight against conventions, distinguishing himself from many of his peers. He is the founder of the studio BIG and has established himself among the most progressive architects of the middle generation over the past few years. Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people on the planet last year. Each of his new projects is even bigger than the previous one. His office completed the design of the skyscraper The Spiral this year in the heart of Manhattan, which features a glass facade adorned with bands of green terraces. However, Bjarke Ingels longs to build something that will shape the future of architecture, forever etching his name into history. The documentary by director Kaspar Astrup Schröder also presents him as an ordinary person who experiences highs and lows and goes through love as well as fear of illness.
