Uherské Hradiště – The new zoning plan for Uherské Hradiště, approved today by the councilors, will tighten the requirements for the creation of parking spaces. While until now, investors had to provide one parking space per 2.5 residents when constructing residential buildings, according to the new plan, it will be one space for two residents. This was stated today by Aleš Holý, head of the municipal architect's office.
According to him, the fulfillment of the so-called motorization level by investors will bring more parking spaces in developmental residential areas. "The second thing is that the maximum number of cars must be hidden by investors within the volume of the building, either in the underground floor or in the first above-ground floor. At least half of the area of one such floor must be used for parking," Holý stated.
The zoning plan is the most important tool of spatial planning and determines the concept for the city's development. Among other things, it specifies where construction is allowed, what can be built, and under what conditions, such as where apartments can be built and where industrial buildings can be located. It also sets conditions for already constructed properties and proposes areas for greenery, recreation, or the protection of plants and animals in the landscape.
Until now, the zoning plan in Uherské Hradiště was from 2011, but according to Mayor Stanislav Blaha (ODS), it contained some deficiencies and inaccuracies that needed to be corrected. The new zoning plan took five years to prepare. Its development cost nearly one million crowns, with almost 900,000 crowns of expenses covered by a grant from the Integrated Regional Operational Program.
