Luhačovice - The Luhačovice Town Hall has prepared a project "Here Springs Architecture" for visitors to the spa town and its local residents. The aim is to present Luhačovice with a greater emphasis on architecture, buildings, and their creators, while also appealing to a different target group that includes younger age categories, university students, and architecture enthusiasts. The town hall announced this today in a press release. The project will start on Sunday with the presentation of a new tourist guide at the information center.

Information about architects and their works can be found in a new folding brochure. "This was not a short-term matter for us. I have been in the museum for almost 25 years, and my colleague Ladislava Horňáková has been working in the gallery since 1986. All this time we have been trying, among other things, to collect materials about architecture in Luhačovice, to focus on it, and to study materials on the history of architecture in this town. You always have it in your head, looking around, studying in archives. It's a long-term process that does not end with the publication of this brochure," said Blanka Petráková, head of the Luhačovice Zálesí Museum.

"In this project, we offer the opportunity for an extraordinary walk through Luhačovice for local residents, spa guests, tourists, and architecture lovers. There are a total of 60 objects marked on a map that is part of the brochure. However, we wanted to approach it a bit differently, so it is a presentation of architects, builders, and constructors," said Jarmila Ďurďová, project manager of the town of Luhačovice and co-author of the project.

The buildings along the route will gradually be marked with QR codes, through which interested parties will learn about the architects, builders, the history of the buildings, as well as interesting stories of the inhabitants of these objects. The map highlights three routes that are divided according to difficulty.

According to the project's authors, people can uncover the history and stories of individual buildings during their walks. "At the same time, we would like to reach out to all local enthusiasts and architecture lovers in this way. We are looking for an enthusiastic guide, a local from Luhačovice, who will enrich the guided tour with their own experiences, authenticity, relationship, and gathered information," Ďurďová stated.
