On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 7:00 PM, a presentation of the publication What Are Architects For will take place at CAMP in Prague. Architects create environments where people move, live, rest, learn, work… in short, where they live. However, they have a somewhat thankless role, as many people are primarily interested in how the results of their work look. Architecture must serve its purpose; it is important how people feel in it and how it affects its surroundings. The book What Are Architects For aims to show that people can view architecture in ways beyond just "like - dislike," that each specific solution has its reason. And that uncovering why the buildings and spaces around us are conceived and designed this way is quite an adventure. The book What Are Architects For is also exceptional in that it is suitable for readers from the age of 10. The authors of the book are Ondřej Dušek (concept, text, and illustrations) and Karolina Jirkalová (concept and text). Reservations for seats end 5 minutes before the start of the event, after which available seats will be offered to interested attendees present until the hall's capacity is reached.
