Prague - The main prize and the title of Grand Designer of the Year 2015 was awarded to fashion designer Liběna Rochová at yesterday's ceremony for the annual awards for best design. She also received the award in the category of Fashion Designer of the Year for her models inspired by the work of artist Milan Grygar. She became the second designer in the history of the awards to receive the main prize. The Discovery of the Year was awarded to the duo Markéta Držmíšková and Petr Hák for their porcelain collection and the storage system Sequence. In memoriam, architect and designer Bořek Šípek was also honored, entering the Hall of Fame.
The trophy that the winners received was a perfume in a special glass object created for the tenth anniversary of the awards by last year's main winner, the studio Dechem of Michaela Tomišková and Jakub Janďourka. Liběna Rochová will receive 100,000 crowns to create the award for the next winner.
