Ondřej Císler, a student of the Prague Academy at the time, won at the beginning of 2005 in a two-round competition with his design for three fountains that were to be placed in the main square of Plzeň. Since the announcement of the results, it has seemed as if someone did not wish for their realization. Wooden models at a 1:1 scale were even created in the square so that everyone could see with their own eyes the final appearance and possible impact on the historical surroundings. Until Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at 3 PM, votes can be cast regarding their fate. Currently, it seems anyone has the authority to challenge the jury's decision, which consisted of competent and esteemed personalities in the field. The final result was decided over the course of several months in two competitive rounds, and in the end, a pointedly aimed poisonous remark can undermine all this effort.
