Meeting on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 8:30 AM at the square at the site of the former chapel. The guide will be architect Pavel Nasadil.
For the second time, we will set out with practicing architect Pavel Nasadil on the trail of historical and modern architecture in Hlučín.
We will visit the new wing of the Hlučín Town Hall (Atelier 38), stop at the Hlučín Acropolis with the Church of St. John the Baptist, the former orphanage, and the new permanent exhibition of the Hlučín Museum at the castle (Jiří Halfar, David Bazika). We will check out the mysterious brutalist villa of Josef Barták, the famous functionalist gem - Villa Mudr. Kremer - by the Šlapet brothers, and visit the beautiful interiors and garden of the First Republic villa on Zahradní Street.
We will have a unique opportunity to see the organic family house "Snail" (L. Slívová) and conclude the excursion on Okrajová Street with a visit to the studio of Tomáš Svačina (Archteam), where we will jointly carry out a practical inspection of the construction of two family houses by the walk's author, Pavel Nasadil.
And if we are lucky, perhaps the famous architectural historian Martin Strakoš will also join us!
