Los Angeles - An archive of documents, drawings, and models by the world-renowned architect Frank Gehry will be made accessible in Los Angeles. This was reported by the AP agency on Wednesday.
The Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles announced that it has gained access to a collection encompassing 30 years of Gehry's work. The architect, living in the largest city in California, is famous for projects such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and the Dancing House in Prague, which he designed together with Vlad Milunić.
The archive includes hundreds of sketches, models, photographs, digital files, and other documents related to 283 Gehry projects from 1954 to 1988.
Gehry himself stated in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that the works in the archive are a labor of love for him and he hopes to inspire people.
