Expansion of the Morgan Library by Renzo Piano

On April 29, 2006, a new extension of the Morgan Library by the Italian architect Renzo Piano will be ceremoniously opened in New York. The library, which has served the public since 1924 (and has already undergone three phases of expansion), has added 10,000 m² of new space, most of which is hidden underground.
