Zlín - The Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín wants to give space this year to young artists, and will also feature the work of Austrian architect Boris Podrecca. Visitors can also look forward to accompanying events, informed the gallery's spokesperson Marika Blažková via ČTK.
The work of Austrian architect Boris Podrecca will be exhibited at the House of Art starting in March. The audience in Zlín will get to know the creations of this renowned author through 28 designs and models of specific buildings. The architect may be present for the closing of the exhibition in April. Among Podrecca's works are the Millennium Tower in Vienna, the design for the new European Central Bank building in Frankfurt am Main, and a metro station in Naples.
The gallery traditionally supports young talents as well. Pavla Sceranková and Juraj Kollár will have their turns. Their joint exhibition will start on February 7. Both authors caught the attention of experts during the last edition of the modern art showcase, Zlín Salon of Young Artists, three years ago.
For each exhibition, the gallery prepares educational programs that awaken creativity and mediate art by connecting theory, stories, and play. The gallery space will also come alive with many accompanying events. An exhibition for the Literary Spring project organized by the Zlín library is planned for April. In May, visitors can look forward to evenings of poetry. The traditional gallery and museum night will also take place.
Currently, the gallery is exhibiting the work of illustrator Adolf Kašpar in the castle premises. The exhibition Pilsner Foam, which showcases the best of modern art created in the western Bohemian metropolis in recent years, will also continue until the end of February.
