After more than a quarter of a century of professional life, Wiel Arets reflects on his work to date, which represents a wide spectrum of design objects, twenty monographs, and more than 250 projects, including, for example, the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht, the University Library in Utrecht, or the AZL pension fund headquarters in Heerlen. In the latter-mentioned city, an exhibition entitled “Wiel Arets Architects: Stills“ showcasing Arets's work since the establishment of the office in 1984 was opened last night. The exhibition is located in the Schunck Gallery - a glass palace designed by Frits Peutz from the 1930s, which underwent reconstruction by Jo Coenen and Wiel Arets at the beginning of this century. The opening of the exhibition took place on December 17, 2010, at 8:00 PM and will run until February 13, 2011. A catalog titled Stills has been published in conjunction with the exhibition.
