Exhibition Novartis Campus / SANAA and Märkli

Two weeks ago, we wrote about the construction plans of the Basel company Roche - here, where a single architectural office is responsible for the design of the new complex. Yesterday, an exhibition of projects for the competing pharmaceutical company Novartis began at the Architekturmuseum Basel. Behind the buildings of administrative, research, and laboratory facilities stand such names as Peter Märkli, Adolf Krischanitz, Roger Diener, and SANAA from Japan. With the exception of the visitor center by Peter Märkli, most of the buildings will remain inaccessible to the public after their completion. The second building presented in detail at the exhibition, alongside Märkli's center, is a light transparent structure made of glass
and white concrete by the Tokyo-based SANAA. Info>
