Every building that architects deal with has its own uniqueness. In each of them, however, we can find a part of the personality of its author. In some, the emphasis on representation and aesthetic quality of the building is evident, while others captivate with the thoughtfulness of architectural space. Others are characterized by striking construction or bold technical solutions, while in some the primary interest is the perfect organization of all events that take place inside or outside the building. The architectural work of the studio A1 architects clearly shows that their interest is to capture a wide spectrum of what is related to the need of a person to inhabit space. Their approach also includes a sort of therapeutic role, in which they reveal to their clients the principles of the psychology of living. A1 architect, with this expert setting, explores the space of Jurkovič Villa to uncover previously understated facts that bring closer the human dimension of Dušan Jurkovič and demonstrate the modernity of his thinking and work. This introspection is also motivated by the 150th anniversary of Dušan Jurkovič's birth.
