Dear friends of Archiculture, allow us, along with the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery, to invite you to the opening of a multimedia exhibition project dedicated to the Norwegian landscape and public space titled Artscape Norway, which will take place on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 18:00 at the Architecture Gallery Brno. The Artscape Norway exhibition is part of an international project that presents artworks and small architecture that have become part of the Norwegian landscape and public space through photography, document, and video art. The exhibition showcases a unique concept of using contemporary artistic creation to make exceptional locations in Norway accessible through a sensitive dialogue between the artist and nature, the visitor and the landscape; architecture or artifacts become part of nature here. The project originated as a journey exploring these artistic endeavors across Norway and offers an alternative perspective on landscapes and public spaces. The continuous care of the Kingdom of Norway for the cultural landscape and public space through unique site-specific interventions is a phenomenon that enhances the lives of local communities and fascinates foreign visitors. The exhibition is accompanied by a publication of the same name. The exhibition will be open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM until May 29, 2016. Admission to the exhibition is voluntary. The project is financed by the EEA Fund, program CZ 06 – cultural heritage and contemporary art. Supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. The project was created with the support of EEA Grants, the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery, and the Norwegian institution NTR – National Tourist Routes, and the ROM Gallery in collaboration with BAS – Bergen School of Architecture, the National Museum of Art, Architecture, and Design, and Artscape Nordland.
