A new station building will be constructed in Mladá Boleslav

Mladá Boleslav - The Railway Administration (SŽ) will construct a new dispatch building in Mladá Boleslav. They are now announcing a tender for the contractor of the project documentation, with the final appearance of the building to be chosen in collaboration with the city hall. Construction work is expected to begin in 2022, the Railway Administration informed CTK in a press release today.

The building will be two stories high and will take into account the future development of passenger frequency at this station. Therefore, it will also serve the employees of the Railway Administration, and a regional dispatching workplace will be part of the facility.

For passengers, there will be a waiting room, restrooms, ticket offices, and commercial spaces with back-office support on the ground floor. The building will be accessible for people with disabilities; a ramp will compensate for the height difference between the dispatch building and the first platform. The space freed up by the current building, which is set for demolition, will be used for parking.
