Solution for the bridge over Mezibořská Street in Litvínov - competition results

The subject of the design competition was the solution for a new overpass of Mezibořská Street in Litvínov. The organizer expected proposals for the overpass solution, including its construction and spatial contexts - connections of roads and other public spaces - parking areas under the bridge, public transport stops, and suitable greenery addition. The aim of the proposal was to find an appropriate architectural solution for the overpass of Mezibořská Street in a location where the bridge significantly impacts the surrounding development.

Basic requirements of the organizer:

- quality design of the bridge including public space

- quality solution of traffic relations

- preservation of parking capacities in the space under the bridge

- respect for the architectural and urban values of the place

- minimization of investment and operational costs of the construction

- integration of greenery in the urban space
