The award went to the realization of Vinice and Spa in Eger by Péter Gereben and Marián Balázs, while the second Honorable Mention was awarded to the Nordic Center in Planica by M. Blenkuš, M. Florjančič, K. Kobal, A. Kučan, and L. Javornik. The competition is intended for architects from eight countries: the Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Greece, Slovakia, and Slovenia. This year, Dr. Jana Tichá from the Czech Republic nominated the following works: the Lipno Chameleon House by Petr Hájek, the Lake House in Doksy by Pavel Nasadil and Jan Horký, the City Villa in Prague-Podolí by Josef Pleskot, and the Lighthouse and Museum of Jára Cimrman in Příchovice by Martin Rajniš and David Kubík. Hájek's KCEV has previously received the Architecture Week Prague 2014 Award, the Construction of the Year 2014 for the Hradec Králové Region, and is also nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award 2015 for the Czech Republic.
The ceremony for the Piranesi Award took place on November 22, 2014, in Piran, Slovenia.
