Grand Prix of Architects – The National Prize for Architecture 2019 was awarded to the project Corso Pod Lipami

Prague – The international jury of the XXVI. year of the Grand Prix Architects - National Award for Architecture 2019 selected as the winner of the GPA - National Award for Architecture 2019 the project Corso Pod Lipami (Král Jiří z Poděbrad Square 2, Řevnice) by the studio EHL & KOUMAR ARCHITEKTI, s.r.o. – Lukáš Ehl, Tomáš Koumar, Alena Šrámková, who received a large blue glass cube Grand Prix from the workshop of artist Bohumil Eliáš.

EHL & KOUMAR ARCHITEKTI, s.r.o.: Corso Pod Lipami, Řevnice (2016-2018)

The lifetime achievement award was given by the Council of the municipality to Ing. arch. Vlado Milunič, who is known primarily for the design of the Dancing House.

Additionally, the following awards were given:

Award in the interior category: Reconstruction of the church in Hodslavice (small yellow cube)
Award in the landscape architecture category: Footbridge over Dřetovický Stream (small green cube)
Award in the urbanism category: Revitalization of the Loučná River waterfront in Litomyšl (small purple cube)

Award for new construction: Kindergarten Nová Ruda, Vratislavice nad Nisou (small blue cube)
Award for new construction: Trail above the vineyards, Kobylí (small blue cube)
Award for new construction: DOX+ Center for Contemporary Art (small blue cube)
Award for artistic work in architecture: Bell tower, Bílovice-Lutotín (small blue cube)

Honorary mention for reconstruction: Water Tower with Observatory, Na Výšinách, Prague 7
Honorary mention for new construction: Footbridge over the River Lubina in Příbor
Honorary mention for family house: Family House in Litvínovice
Honorary mention for interior: Exhibition Czech Theatre Photography
Honorary mention for urbanism: Public Space Líbeznice, acupuncture urbanism

The ceremonial announcement of the winners took place today in the Pantheon of the National Museum in the presence of significant representatives of the professional community, state administration, and the diplomatic corps.

The international jury of this year's competition worked with the following members: Oliver Sádovský from the Vallo - Sádovský studio, nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award (Slovakia), Fabrizio Barozzi from the BarozziVeiga studio, holder of the European Mies van der Rohe Award (Italy), Daniel Zarhy from the PEZ studio (Israel), Irena Fialová, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Architecture CTU (Czech Republic) and Bolle Tham from the ThamVidegard studio (Sweden). Jury members can only serve once in their lifetime.
