BiographyMaciej Franta is a Polish architect and the founder of the Frantagroup studio, which was included in the 2022 list of 40 Under 40 (40 most promising European architects under 40 years old).
In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology, where he completed his doctoral studies in 2010. In 2005, he studied at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Knoxville in Tennessee. In 2007, he completed an internship at the architectural studio
Gensler in New York, and in 2008 in Dublin. From 2008 to 2010, he worked at the Katowice architectural studio Franta & Franta Architekci. Since 2010, he has been leading his own studio, Frantagroup, which brings together more than 20 architects.
He is one of the initiators of architecture education at the Juliusz Słowacki University of Technology in Chorzów. He is the grandson of architect Aleksander Franta.
