Jenni Reuter is engaged in urban planning, building design, exhibition scenography, and graphic design. Her projects are considered complete only when supplemented by the active presence of their users. For her practice, established in 1999, exploring the field of architecture is essential, which among other things leads to the use of unexpected building materials, such as straw bales and recycled construction components. In addition to her practice, she has been working together since 1996 with colleagues Saija Hollmén and Helena Sandman at the studio Hollmén Reuter Sandman Architects and as the chairperson of the NGO Ukumbi, founded in 2007. She is also an associate professor at Aalto University in Helsinki.
