Biography
Gino Valle was an Italian painter, architect, and designer. In 1948, he graduated in architecture from the Istituto Universitario di Architettura in Venice and from 1951 to 1952, he studied urban planning at the GSD of Harvard University in Cambridge. After his studies, he joined the family office of his father Provino and sister Nani in Udine. By the end of the 1950s, their names appeared on most projects. These included family homes and office buildings in the Friuli region. Gradually, he developed a style based on the formal possibilities of structural expression. This brought him interest in his work even abroad. The construction and function are clearly readable from the facades of the buildings, which shows a connection to the Friuli landscape, where most of his buildings were realized. He passed away on September 30, 2003, just shy of his eightieth birthday.
