PhDr. Martin Ebel, Ph.D., director of the Museum of Architecture NTM and Assoc. Prof. Ing. Michael Rykl, Ph.D., research and teaching staff of the Institute of Theory and History of Architecture FA CTU, will present the results of the architectural-historical survey of the technical monument and answer the question of where the work of the engineer and statics ended and the work of the architect and other artists began. In the lecture, they will also recall the second phase of the bridge (reconstruction 1958-62) and the gradual transformation of the views on traffic solutions, structure, the expression of architecture, and the reconstruction of the bridge during partial operation.
