Assignment:
A place where the perception of time changes. A space for searching for the right wine. A place for rest and meeting new people.
Concept of the wine shop:
The entire space is created in the spirit of the wine shop's name. The idea was to create a place where visitors are in the personal care of the winemaker. Therefore, you will not find, for example, a beverage menu here. Instead, discussions about wine take place right in front of the wine shelves. After the right selection, visitors can enjoy wine with various treats right there, choosing from different types of seating (at the bar, at a table, or on a bench in the wine shop's display). For wine orientation, large boards are placed on the walls. The space is dominated by NEO lights, which float here like jewels. Complementary LED strips highlight the bar counter and the best selection of wines on the shelf. The atmosphere of the space changes once a month when a vernissage of paintings takes place, which adorns the walls of the wine shop for the following month. The entire space stands out at night from the main street in a glass display. The space aims to respect the functionalist house in which the wine shop is located with its appearance.
Layout of the space:
The entrance is from the main street Štěpánská. There is wheelchair access. The wine shop accommodates approximately 10 visitors. Upon entering, you are presented with a view of the entire wine shop. On the right side is the bench seating with cushions in the display, in front of which tables with chairs stretch right up to the bar. On the left is a shelving unit with wines. At the end of the room is a restroom for visitors. The staff area is located in the underground level.
Materials:
Three basic materials are applied here, which are in mutual contrast. The first is the Otocento plaster used across the entire surface of the walls. Its changing surface creates a dreamily romantic atmosphere in the interior. In contrast to the dark wall is the light furniture (ash - veneer). The third material that unites the entire space is used on the tabletops and bar counter, which is a stone veneer - slate lite. Complementary materials are metal elements with a finish used on the tables, bar, bench, and further on the plinths.
