Doc. Pavel Štecha, head of the studio at the Prague VŠUP, ranks among the leading Czech photographers of architecture. Given his renown, the elder statesman of Czech modern architecture, architect Martin Rajniš, painted a small extension next to the existing family house free of charge, in which the descendants of the builder now reside. The construction type of the extension thus successfully functions even in the 21st century.
The central motif of the extension is a terrace with a pergola, significantly influencing the atmosphere in the interior during the day. The terrace serves as a bonding element between the interior and exterior and is truly exceptional. The extension has an area of 70m² and, as is evident from the photographs, the author of which is the builder himself, is a shining gem in the mosaic of contemporary Czech modern architecture.
