Factory Sipral

The construction of the own facility took place in a very short time and using its own technologies and materials. The new complex is located in the industrial zone in Prague 10-Strašnice, in connection with the other buildings in this zone. The entire building is clad in silver corrugated sheet metal with thermal insulation, combined with aluminum windows that are treated with natural anodizing. The façade of the building is dominated by a glazed suspended shell with large insulating double glazing, which is combined with anodized aluminum pressed patterned sheets and aluminum windows with external blinds. The silvery cladding surfaces are complemented by a slightly bluish tint of the glazing. The administrative section is situated at the front, while the production hall is located in the longer back section. Both entities are separated by a transverse glazed corridor with an outdoor spiral escape staircase. The corridor creates a communication, noise, and escape zone.
The interior features a combination of exposed concrete and natural wood with elements of glass, aluminum, and galvanized steel. The glazed staircase with a glass railing contrasts with the exposed concrete and adds airiness and a representative character to the whole space. Through the main glazed façade, the glass staircase, and the glazed walls of the dividing corridor, one can look into the spacious production hall. In the longitudinal communication axis of the building, there is a long roof skylight, which, in addition to its lighting function, creates an optical connection between the administrative and production parts.
The entire building is complemented in the exterior and interior with a number of interesting details such as external stable horizontal sunshades made of porous grids, which cast shadow effects on the façades in sunny weather. The new headquarters of Sipral creates a dignified and representative production and administrative background allowing for up to a threefold increase in the company’s existing capacity.
