The villa by architect
Karel Kepka built between 1932-1933 on Wurmova Street in Brno (
BAM C184) underwent a series of internal renovations after World War II to divide it into multiple residential units. The first above-ground floor originally served as a social salon with an adjoining smoking room and study. We returned the main space to its original size and placed a living zone in it. By inserting a furniture wall, the entrance area with a cloakroom and WC was partially visually separated. The current minimalist furniture contrasts with the original folding wall made of inlaid wood, behind which is the quiet zone of the apartment.
