The project of a kindergarten for 40 children located in the wine village of Limbach was a challenging but interesting task for us. As the main element, we chose a motif of a house with a sloping roof and playful window openings that is easily understandable for children, which became the main visual tool. The windows of the building face southeast directly into the vineyard, visually expanding the green areas around the kindergarten and creating a unique connection with the vineyard. The vineyard changes its appearance throughout the year, allowing the children to observe these changes with their own eyes. On a plot of land measuring only 935 m², we had to accommodate classrooms for children, a common room, the director's office, a kitchen with facilities, play areas, and parking for parents and staff. The technical section is even located, due to a lack of space, in the highest attic area above the main staircase.
