The newly built observation tower is located in the southern part of the cadastral area of the village of Vysoké Pole in the Zlín region, near the hill Díly, and is accessible via a newly created bike path. The location of the tower and its mass arrangement respond to the construction of a new dam in the valley, "Water Works Vlachovice," which the tower will offer a view of. The observation tower consists of a basic orthogonal grid of load-bearing wooden elements, which is placed on a concrete base with walls made of exposed concrete. This concrete foundation forms the first floor, followed by 5 additional wooden floors, each 2.5 meters high. The total height of the tower is thus 15 meters.
The structure utilizes a combination of wooden load-bearing elements and steel joints, which increase the resistance and durability of the stressed connections. The demands for maintenance are minimized by the use of larch wood and the treatment of steel elements through hot-dip galvanization. The load-bearing wooden grid stands out due to the use of slender steel elements, which are almost invisible from distant views. The outer shell of the tower is made of wooden slats, which become denser towards the top.
An all-wooden two-flight staircase runs through the interior space of the tower to the observation platform. This is covered by a hipped roof with a minimum slope of 2% and asphalt roofing felt.
A paved area made of stone paving has been constructed around the tower, and it is already a popular stop for rides and walks through the picturesque Wallachian landscape.
