Family house in Lysolaje

Family house in Lysolaje
Architect: Michal Sluka
Project:2012
Completion:2012 - 2014
Built Up Area:148 m2
Built Up Space:647 m3

The object is a new construction of a family house in the place of a removed original building. It is located on the edge of the built-up area in the Prague district of Lysolaje. The site has a pronounced southwest slope, with a height difference of six meters. The main expressive element of the house is simplicity.
The mass consists of two blocks stacked on top of each other. The lower block is oriented lengthwise with the street to maintain the building line. The structural material, reinforced concrete, is clearly exposed on the facade. The upper block, which is transversely placed, is clad in spruce siding with a horizontal orientation. At the edges of both blocks, there are terraces that are covered by the roof structure of the block.
The layout design is proposed with regard to the significant slope of the land so that there is an exit to the terrain from each floor. On the site, in connection with the building, a natural pond has been created, situated at two different elevation levels. The heating of the building is arranged as hot water underfloor heating, with a gas boiler serving as the source of heat and hot water.
