This family house is located near Prague in the village of Jíloviště. The southern sloping plot was relatively narrow. The conditions on the plot were significantly contradictory, so the subject of consideration was to isolate the garden from the street without creating a barrier and to ensure visibility into the garden. To open the house to the garden but to allow southern sunlight from the street into the house without creating barriers to sunlight in the garden. At the same time, due to regulatory conditions (gable roof), we decided to support these conditions rather than fight them and attempt to evade these regulations. We set ourselves the goal of designing a contemporary house with modern yet classic forms. Simply a normal house. The tool for such a design was a thoughtful and high-quality construction detail - which we considered key to shifting the expression of the house - thus not the form. The sloping terrain allowed for the partial embedding of the basement with predominantly technical functions, including a garage for 2 cars. The basement also includes a separate unit for the house manager with its own access to the garden. The level of the first above-ground floor to the north directly follows the contour line of the slope. The house is completely glassed towards the garden, with direct access from the kitchen and living room connected by a terrace. From the south, on the other hand, is the main entrance to the house via an outdoor staircase, leading to the living room, which is oriented on both sides, offering views of the valley and utilizing southern sunlight. The western wing contains social facilities and two guest rooms. In the attic, there are three bedrooms, necessary social facilities, and an office. The bedrooms have windows in the gables - thanks to this, it was not necessary to use emergency roof windows. The master bedroom occupies a privileged position, as it utilizes a truly exceptional view due to the elevation.
