Reconstruction of an apartment in Prague 6

The aim of the apartment renovation was to enhance the perception of valuable simplicities, especially the enchantment of the open space after the removal of the walls of the classic hallway, the abundance of light, views, and prospects from the windows around the perimeter, a simple trick of freeing the pillar body of the chimney, a confident solitaire that becomes the focal point of the circulation movement, utilizing the potential of the garden's proximity with a new opening featuring a hanging balcony and stairs, bi-directionally accessible furniture dividing walls made of plywood along with lowered storage and living ceilings in more intimate seating areas and entrances, the decision to orient all rooms towards the common living space, flowing meanders between various positions of the sun, symbolizing family togetherness, down to the details of selected walls with unique colored textures of scraped layers of paint, preserving the old surfaces, therapy against the hysteria of novelty pressure, followed by the play of color accents of some furniture elements contrasting the chromatic temperature of the cardinal points, atypical lighting composed only of balls of energy-saving bulbs and perhaps even an aquarium, monumental yellow sliding doors of the reduced hallway, all of which together create the expression of a natural, unrefined environment that has its own unrepeatable identity.
