In an intimate apartment designed for short-term rentals by Holečkova Apartments, a dynamically variable interior has been created. The main feature of the historic corner apartment is a large living space with a kitchen and bedroom in one. The space has been utilized to the last centimeter, and a refined solution with hotel-like comfort has been designed. The dominant element of the entire project is a rotating bed. The circular bed serves as a kinetic object, a sculptural installation that allows for an immediate transformation of the living room and bedroom into an airy salon. The bed consists of a wooden circular base with a high rounded apse. Just by rotating it 180 degrees, this elevated headboard creates an elegant rounded spatial partition that instantly conceals the made bed and entirely changes the interior impression. A similar approach was considered for the wardrobe, which was designed as a huge pull-out drawer. The kitchen is equipped with a custom-made two-level counter that transitions into a dining table. All of this is supported by six aluminum legs resembling the landing gear of a space module.
