Extension of a multipurpose hall and barrier-free entrance to the Church of the Holy Trinity at Georgenberg.
Church of the Most Holy Trinity is considered an icon of brutalism. In order for 'Wotruba's Church' to be accessible to everyone, a request was made to create a barrier-free entrance and to expand the basement part of the church with a multipurpose room.

The extension is largely hidden in the hill, on top of which stands Wotruba's Church. The newly designed part does not disrupt the original visual perception of the church. The connection to the upper level features an outdoor concrete staircase made of exposed concrete and an internal barrier-free elevator, which is reduced to a clear glass cube in the vicinity of the church. The new design refers to the original church through its materials: exposed concrete, stainless steel, glass, and larch wood.
Facing the street, the extension opens up with a generously glazed facade and a gravel-covered courtyard. The original entrance to the lower part of the church has been preserved. Now, however, you enter a light-filled foyer, where you will also find a new elevator. The cornice covering the entrance gently glides down the slope and transitions into a long bench.
