The new residential complex is located in close proximity to the center of Zurich, within sight of significant cultural institutions and parks. Schools and recreational activities are also within walking distance. The closeness to the lake invites for walks and offers beautiful views.

The complex replaced the original residential building from the 1940s by William Dunkel. The new design responds to the loose solitary development and creates a structure of irregularly sized standalone apartment buildings. The complex consists of a total of 11 houses made up of 4 basic types of apartment blocks. The variably sized houses respond to the slope of the land and avoid rare century-old trees. Unlike the surrounding urban structure, the complex creates subtle variations in the public space. The open space between the houses stretches like a meandering park interwoven with a system of freely accessible paths.

The wooden facades of the houses create a neutral background for the trees. The Finnish spruce beams underwent charring (3200°C), mechanical brushing, and washing to achieve a natural appearance without the need for chemical treatment against pests and rot. Generous floor-to-ceiling windows are shaded by wooden slat shutters that are identical to the fixed facade. The wood on the facade gradually turns gray due to the weather, increasingly highlighting the park greenery that changes with the seasons.
