    The EEA design allows for an innovative approach to holiday education. The compact shape and internal flexibility lead to effective use of space. The character of the complex is defined by the pyramidal shape, suspended rooftop garden, and atrium. The rooftop garden offers privacy, a calm place for reflection, and relaxation. The patio beneath the greenery is a bustling place for gatherings, allowing everyone to see and be seen. Together, they form the social heart of the house.
    The open layout with only a few walls stems from the institution's philosophy of openness and transparency. Most spaces are multifunctional and ready for changes according to the school’s current needs.
    Each department has its designated area, but none isolates itself from the others. Uniqueness and community, harmony and diversity can coexist under one roof. The gymnasium - a black box that does not require natural light - is designed to be accessible to the public even outside school hours.
    The building's design allows the school to be in contact with the public in several ways. The clear shape and dynamic facade discreetly emerge from the surrounding greenery as a landmark in the landscape. Its variability and openness make it a valuable addition to the city of Doetinchem.
