Built between 1969 and 1971 by the Danish architect Paul Niepoort. The church consists of a main volume and an independent bell tower resembling an Italian style "campanile". Very sculptural design in concrete and masonry painted plain white. While the exterior is monumental (especially the tower), the sober interior is refined and contemplative mainly through the effective way of bringing in natural light. The ceiling in the church is stunning. Since Niepoort designed everything in detail, the design is a true "Gesamtkunstwerk". The design has distinct influences from Finnish architecture, especially Aalto.
