Collection of Tables

Collection of Tables
Address: Czech Republic
Completion:2013

The intention was to create a pleasant and perfectly functional interior accessory that can also evoke its own atmosphere. It was important how a person would feel when sitting at the table and spending some time there. What you will perceive when you touch it and how it will generally affect you. To ensure the best feeling from the tables, the perfect craftsmanship with which they are created down to the last detail also helps. All bases are made of stainless steel, which is hand-polished, and the glass tops are hand-sandblasted.
The theme of transparency of the tabletop, which runs through each table, was immensely important. What we see or, conversely, do not see when a person sits at the table influences our overall impression and indirectly our behavior. Therefore, we worked sensitively with sandblasting. For dining tables, only a small part in the very center is transparent, so there are no unwanted views under the tabletop. At the same time, the base of the table, consisting of three interconnected legs, is subtly revealed.

Sun Table
The colorful table has a circular glass piece in the center of the top, sandblasted from the edge towards the center into oblivion. When looking into the center, the structure of the table beneath the top appears somewhat veiled. You can clearly see only its middle part, but towards the edge of the glass, everything seems to disappear, as if it is lost in the haze over a morning meadow illuminated by the rising sun. That is why we named the large table with the yellow top the Sun Table.
The glass center of the table can be easily removed, and in the future, it will be possible to purchase a rotating top, a shallow ice container, or a practical wooden center for placing hot dishes.

Moon Table
The glass top of the Moon Table can beautifully guide light through the sandblasting to the rounded edge and shine into the space. The table, when illuminated, appears as a glowing point, like a star in the sky illuminated by moonlight. It can become the main feature of your dining room, restaurant, café, or meeting room.

Coffee Table
The coffee table is based on the concept of the large glass table. To increase the surface area, it has two levels of glass tops. The legs of the table grow through the opening of the lower top to the upper one like the stems of a plant supporting its flower.

Wine Table

The wine table has a hole in the center for placing a bottle. The bottle is passed through the glass top and rests on the legs of the table. We paid great attention to the junction of the table and the bottle, specifically the places where they touch each other. To prevent damage to either one, a protective rubber is ingeniously inserted into the hole of the glass top. The same solution was used where the bottle touches the metal legs. Handling the bottle is therefore completely safe. The table can be used with all types of wine, sparkling wine, and champagne bottles.
