The charm and picturesque nature of South Bohemia convinced a Czech family living long-term in Switzerland to build a house here under the ridge of Blanský Forest. And that’s exactly what happened.
The new building quickly took on clear contours; however, it lacked a conceptual solution for the interior. Many details of a construction-technical nature were not properly thought through and greatly complicated potential follow-up work. In the end, despite the aforementioned obstacles, we nodded to the call of the interior and began working on the design.
The nautical expression of the new building led us from the start to an atmosphere reminiscent of being inside a ship and served as a source of inspiration throughout the project. Along with this leitmotif and the refined taste of the clients, we arrived at a realization that brings us great joy. We hope that in the cabin (as we’ve called the building since our first visit), future residents will sail well and that it will enhance their everyday lives.
