Family houses on Hrnčiarska Street are located in the central heritage zone of the town of Modra. They are designed as a reconstruction and a new building. They are separated and connected by the city wall – the original urban fortification from the early 17th century. The restoration of the monument consists of the reconstruction of the original 19th-century house, archaeological-historical research of the site, and the wall. Three levels of restoration were proposed – uncovering the wall, reconstructing the existing house, and new construction. The main task of the conceptual approach to the restoration of the site and building structures was to uncover individual artifacts from the past as accurately as possible so that the so-called "invisible" could also achieve a tangible form. The result is two family houses in a classical layout. A house and a barn.
