Faculty of Economics and Management

In close proximity to Koolhaas's Educatorium stands the faculty of management by the Dutch group MECANOO. The unique internal concept of the building combines 3 lecture halls and 3 internal courtyards, which are cut into blocks of classrooms designed as a "three-slice tract," where the middle tract is entirely reserved for hallways to the classrooms. But these are not just ordinary hallways; rather, they are ramps that rise into the space. The classrooms are not arranged on a single level, but gradually descend or ascend, creating an interesting play of window openings on the façade.
A superbombastic feature are the lecture halls, which may be realized better than those in Educatorium, particularly the detail of the intersection between the hall and the façade. The interesting raw details and materials in the halls are truly top-notch.
