Exposition of book and catalogue culture from the sixties until today

Contemporary interior meets historical structure with interventions from restoration dated in the sixties. The challenge was to cope up with the self-confident contrast and sensitive balance of forms and aesthetics representing different time periods.
The large bookcase divides the space in two units, each with its own unique quality and function. Symmetric front desk is dominating in the arched entrance space. The books and catalogues are exhibited under the staircase spiral. They are placed in the rigid raster of shelves and on variable mobile containers.
The restored interior raises the standard of service and technical equipment. All the essential functions of contemporary entrance space are arranged in the space: self service boxes, wardrobe, information panel, storing, staff facilities.
