In the valley of green hills near the Pernštejn Castle, a house has been created that combines modern living with the beauty of the surrounding nature.
After fifty years of living in the city, the residents of the house decided on a radical change – to move to the countryside for nature. A home that becomes part of the garden and creates an oasis where residents – both people and animals – can meet, work, and live together. Their desire to combine modern living with the tranquility and beauty of the rural environment was the motivation for the creation of this atrium house.
The concept and shape of the house are shaped by green atriums and utility boxes that create a seamless interior space. Each box has its own material, adding a unique character to every corner of the house.
The design of the atriums plays a key role in this concept. Their relocation from the center of the house to its perimeter allows even more light into the home while still maintaining the intimacy of the solution. The atriums serve as a green filter, connecting the exterior with the interior and bringing a fresh atmosphere of nature into the home. This green oasis is the main motif of the house, offering residents a peaceful and simultaneously inspiring environment.
Special attention was paid to the placement of windows. All windows face the green atriums. This orientation not only provides maximum privacy but also allows for views of the landscape beyond the surrounding developments.
The atriums are located on each side of the house, interrupting the continuous wall and thus preserving the unified character of the object from all angles. The atrium house in the valley represents a connection between modern living and nature, bringing harmony to everyday life.
