Přem's plot looked like a nice peaceful meadow under the forest, but we were deceived by the grass.
The plot lies on the border between the third and fourth zones of the CHKO Beskydy. Despite the fact that the original construction from the 1970s surrounds it, we had to put in great effort to build this house. The orientation of the plot was not completely ideal either, but nothing we couldn't handle.

Creating a delicate transition between the socialist buildings and the untouched meadow was not easy. Therefore, we chose the best from each element. From the existing structures, we took the urban arrangement, especially the street line, and from the meadow, the gentle curves of the terrain. We extend the meadow to the roof of the bedroom and blur the boundaries between the terrain and the house. The absence of fencing only supports the natural embedding of the house into the surroundings.

The layout of the ground floor is clearly divided into a shared entrance area that serves the family's needs and also functions as a pre-space for the photography studio located in the attic. The main living space is simultaneously the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The separate wing to the garden is already ground floor with a meadow on the roof. It contains a bedroom with a bathroom, which is shared by the entire house.

The attic is divided in half. One part belongs to the studio with access to the green roof-meadow, while the other is entirely under the children's domain, who have a glazed gable view of the Wallachian hills.

A mini courtyard, nestled into the meadow, is covered by a green wave from the west, and naturally blends with the terrain from the east. Here is the main oasis of tranquility and comfort of the entire house, in fact, a kind of living room without a roof.

At the entrance, a bay is created for parking, which balances the first height difference of the plot and also creates a sense of privacy by separating the private part with a semi-private pre-space. The absence of fences, gates, and doors again refers to the surrounding meadows and the freely flowing Wallachian landscape…
