The house in Polánky stands on the edge of a small village. The original concept of the architect was that the house would need to respect more the character of rural settlement in the village. During the work on the project, it became apparent that there were no criteria set for development in the area, and that besides the modern approach to the building, the builder particularly cared about low-energy execution of the building. The plot for the building is located on the edge of the village development, and the garden faces the surrounding fields to the south and west. Thus, the building is not directly confronted with the surrounding original buildings. The design of the house utilized the possibilities of the plot. The living rooms and window openings are turned towards the garden on the southern side. On the northern side, the house has virtually no windows, only a larger glazed area leading into the vestibule at the entrance to the house. The concept of the house is based on the principle of alternating the character of the external and internal spaces of the house and a different expression of the building with respect to the surroundings and the cardinal directions. Outdoor entry areas defined by paving alternate with smaller communication areas of the house, which in turn lead to larger living rooms and exits to the garden or to the roof terrace. The entrance to the house with a glazed wall and the garage are on the northern side. From the vestibule, it is possible to pass through a narrow passage into the living room with an incorporated kitchen. Large windows in the living room with a view of the neighboring fields connect the house with the garden. On the northern side, there is a single-arm staircase to the second floor with bedrooms. The staircase is intentionally turned back against the entrance to the living room so that it is less conspicuous in the room and does not draw attention. Following the narrow corridor with the staircase to the upper floor is a small hall with entrances to individual rooms. Through the bedroom, it is possible to exit to the roof terrace with a view of the entire valley.
