The concept of DHL Supply Chain offices was created by a rare collaboration between the client and the architectural studio VONT. The clear visual identity leaves no doubt about the industry in which DHL operates, even in the absence of corporate colors. The goal was to create a quality environment for the work of top managers, an environment of creative atmosphere, and generally to improve workspaces primarily in terms of lighting and acoustics. The main qualities of the space are clean neutral surfaces that allow functional solitaires referring to elements used in the transport environment to resonate. These exclusively designed details and solitaires permeate the interior from expanded metal ceilings, under which installations and fixtures are placed, to built-in furniture made of a combination of wood and metal reminiscent of transport crates, table legs made from tracks of transport trolleys, worktops tied with straps, partitions made from cardboard boxes, and other elements that are fundamental components of the client's DNA. Unique artistic objects also inspired by the logistics and transport industry form special accents: the Shibari lamp by Kateřina Handlová (light bulbs tied with ropes), a light relief by sculptor Matěj Hájek (a thin-walled concrete cast on a steel frame), and large-format photographs by Bet Orten (an author-backed printing technique on metal plates). And the result? The interior as a whole creates a fantastic potential for meetings and teamwork realization.
